Domestic flat roof and Residential flat roof installations are shown below showing various fitting methods depending upon the flat roof specification; which is size, height, accessibility and cost. The first four pictures from the left are of the ballasted method, showing the membrane laid on top of the geo textile underlay, with subsequent shots demonstrating different angles of finished ballast to secure the membrane. The fifth picture shows a flat roof patio where the flags have been laid upon the EPDM sheeting to completely seal the flat roof. The second to last photo shows a ballasted flat roof building (garage) showing a slight flat roof pitch so that rain is channelled into the flat roof gutter. The last shows a kitchen flat roof extension where the rubber membrane is fully adhered to the exterior plywood flat roof deck using the fully bonded flat roof system..

Felt Flat Roof Replacement - Flat Roof Membrane Fitting
(ballasted)
Damaged flat roof garage where the felt has failed due to flat roof ponding and variations ambient temperature differentials. The roof is swept clean of debris, after which the geo textile underlay is positioned to the extents with tacks or a staple gun. The membrane is then laid over the whole area and draped down the sides for ten minutes to acclimatise. The overhang is then adhered to the downside facias, then finished off with aluminium flat roof edge trims. Ballast is added to secure the membrane against wind uplift.
