EPDM Flat Roof System |
Our EPDM one piece flat roof system is ideal for large free standing
or adjoined structures (i.e. double garage, extensions, dormers etc).
Jointing is not necessary if the roof measures less than 30m in either
width or length. Our EPDM is stocked in rolls of 3m, 6m, 9m
12m, 15m & 30 metres in length. From these rolls you can have any length that you require, alternatively, we can cut any other rectangular size to the nearest half metre (see Service
page and
DIY Shop) The one piece flat roof membrane can be installed easily and quickly because all three methods (see below) do not require heat nor any special tools. It is suitable for most flat roof buildings, flat roof patios/terraces and green roofs, (extensive green roof and intensive green roof systems).
| EDPM can be fully bonded to new boards, secured with ballast or mechanically attached depending on the existing roof condition. All systems are shown on the complementary installation DVD. |

| EPDM is laid directly over geo textile underlay
and is secured with ballast. Perfect for old roofs where the original
base is in good condition, the removal of the old felt is
not always necessary |
EPDM is adhered to the base with substrate adhesive (or
water based adhesive for new decking). For this method the base must in good dry level condition
and not water damaged |
A number of rubber strips are laid over the underlay forming a grid.
These strips are secured by metal plates and woodscrews. The EPDM is
simply bonded to this grid using seam adhesive |

| The EPDM must
be clamped to the non-gutter edge to stop wind uplift. Soffits or facia boards can also be used to do this available from builders merchants. |
Fully Bonded Example (Water
based adhesive is used bond to the new plywood and substrate deck only
and substrate adhesive is to be used on the perimeter edges, upstands,
facias, brick, wood etc.)

| Our new upvc gutter trims are pre-drilled and come complete with fixings. They are quick to install and make long gutter edges a rapid & simple procedure. They are 2.4m per length and can be cut to suit. |

The flat roofing felt is removed from the perimeter. |

| Underlay is placed directly over the
original felt and secured. Rubber anchor strips, cut to suit,
are fixed over the felt to
form a grid which is secured using standard woodscrews and the supplied fixing plates. |
The one piece EPDM flat roofing membrane is then bonded to the grid using seam adhesive. Our flat roof edge trims (optional) are then installed to provide a professional finish.
